FDR’s cousin

FDR was very afraid of being caught in a fire. This anxiety came about when his cousin was using a curling iron which caught fire. She died in the fire. This is a portrait of his cousin. The President always had a Secret Service person outside his bedroom in case there was a fire. Being he was paralyzed from the waist down, it would be impossible to escape.
